Ultimate Compressive Strains and Reserves of Bearing Capacity of Short RC Columns with Basalt Fiber

Increasing the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete structures, reducing material consumption, and ensuring quality are critical in modern construction. The article presents an experimental study ultimate compressive strains short fiber basalt columns provides recommendations for increasing using steel reinforcement bars with greater strength. were tested upright position a hydraulic press. Strains measured dial indicators strain gauge station. It was shown that addition 10% coarse increased compressibility on ordinary crushed stone by 19.8%, expanded clay 26.1%, which led to hardening under compression 9.0% 12%, respectively. Ultimate fiber-reinforced combined 1.42 times lightweight aggregate 1.19 heavy aggregate. An increase makes it possible use strength compressed elements as crushing during occurs primarily due reaching values tensile stresses transverse direction. This manufacture structures higher load-bearing less consumption. A practical example application proposed approach is given.
